Annie Creek Canyon a great hike in Crater Lake National Park. This trail is kid friendly. The trail meanders through a rich evergreen forest with towering lodgepole pines and critters everywhere. Make sure to bring your wildflower checklist on this one, because the tapestry of color is spectacular in the canyon. Crater Lake National Park has two established campgrounds. The larger is Mazama Campground, it has about 200 forested sites. For those looking for a more private camping experience, check out the Lost Creek Campground. It has 16 first come first serve sites.
Annie Creek is source of the park's drinking water. In 1931, one of the world's largest Western White Pines was discovered the Creek Canyon. It is estimated to be 1,000 years old.
