Angels Landing via West Rim Trail is a life list hike in Zion National Park that will render hikers speechless with its sheer beauty. This hike is extremely difficult and not for the faint of heart. Hiking to Angels Landing is doubt one of the premier trails in the entire National Park system. Besides the tremendous scenery along the way, make sure to keep an eye peeled for the endangered California Condor, which are often observed soaring overhead. This trail can be dangerous and yes people have died. There are long drop-offs and it is probably not the best choice for young kids or people with a fear of heights. There are three campgrounds in Zion National Park. The South and Watchman Campgrounds are located in Zion Canyon. The Lava Point Campground is roughly an hours drive from Zion Canyon on the Kolob Terrace Road.
