New boots are both exciting and painful. Shiny, but stiff. Get rid of the pain and keep the excitement by following these simple steps to breaking in your new



Fill each boot with lukewarm water.


Let the water sit in the boot for about 15 to 20 seconds then dump the water out.


Put on a good pair of hiking socks and put on your boots.


Wear them around your house until essentially dry. This should take about 2 and a half to three hours.


For the next 7 to 10 days put them on for about an hour each day and wear them around the house for the ultimate break-in.


Go hiking with your new comfortable boots!
