Slash Pine Facts

Slash Pines (Pinus elliottii) are short living by most pine standards, roughly 200 years. They grow to about 100 ft. and are fast growing. They thrive in wet humid open forests of the Deep South. Their seeds are eaten by wildlife such as squirrels and gray foxes. To hike amongst them head to Everglades National Park.
