WEST GLACIER, MONTANA - The National Park Service said Monday that Glacier National Park's previous single-month record has been smashed. The record, set in July 2014, when nearly 700,000 visited, pales in comparison to last July's count of 818,000 people visiting the park, located in northwestern Montana.

In total, more than 1.5 million people have visited Glacier so far this year (compared to 1.3 million over the same period last year).
